In 2018, I encountered a collection of old magazines. Leafing through the pages, drawn to the fragile beauty of their aging paper, what struck the most was the imagery and the advertisements.

 

I found unfolding before me was a visual testament of the good, the bad, and the ugly. The images reflected the present as much as the past and I began wondering what have we become since, what are we becoming?

 

My analogue collages flow from an organic encounter with images, shapes and textures that touch me. I construct them as stories where echoes of a past balance in the here and now.
